We had an amazing time at this secluded retreat in the middle of nowhere. The staff was incredibly nice and always ready to help. The food, especially the "carne de porco a alentejana," was delicious. And as wine lovers, we were delighted with the wine tasting experience. The rooms were beautifully decorated and comfortable, and the breakfast buffet had a wide selection. it was one of our favorite hotels during our three-week stay in Portugal.

This hotel is family runned and by a lovely couple Vieira.they are to say the most perfect hosts you can imagine....superb in all means .....with.love and passion for their work and the Herdade........This place is heaven on earth and many should discover this is .....Portugal pur sang........purity and the sound of silence.........like you never ever have experienced before. Hotel Staff and Accomodation are superb. You almost feel at home due to the friendly and gentle way from staff. Relaxation is a goal due to the location and quieteness of the place. And you wake up with the sound...of birds!

The road from the main entrance that leads to the house needs some maintenance.

We loved the tranquil and stylish country retreat with great views. The rooms were elegant with a terrace overlooking the beautiful pool. The homemade jams and excellent wines were delightful. The staff was friendly and breakfast was delicious.

De tudo! Out of the world........once in a lifetime you have to go here! The beautiful farmhouse with fantastic views, the peace and calmth of the countryside! Fantastic Alentejano food made by mrs. Josefa, she is 5*. Excellent wines and homemade jams. We will be back for sure! Excellent for children and elderly! Ask for a room without stairs!

The staff here is amazing! They are super friendly and always willing to help. The breakfast is excellent with delicious homemade jams and a variety of foods to choose from. The rooms are quiet and spacious with a romantic bath and a beautiful porch. The pool area is cozy and the infinity swimming pool is a jaw-dropping feature. The setting of this country retreat is so peaceful and beautiful, perfect for relaxing and enjoying nature. The storks nesting on the property are a lovely surprise. The evening walk along the vineyards and pond during sunset is a must-do. The dinner at the country house is delicious, especially the fish soup and the wine from their own winery. The place is beautifully decorated with romantic seats and roses in the garden. I highly recommend this paradise for a peaceful and beautiful getaway.

We had a truly remarkable stay at Herdade do Sobroso. The stunning view of the Alentejo skyline from the swimming pool was absolutely breathtaking. The staff, especially Sofia, provided excellent hospitality and made us feel warmly welcomed. The authentic local food, particularly the 'porco preto' sausages and dishes, were simply delicious. We also enjoyed exploring the wide area of the Herdade on a jeep safari, spotting boars, deers, and enjoying the beautiful views of the Alqueva subregion. If you're looking for a peaceful and authentic retreat to relax, indulge in great wines and food, Herdade do Sobroso is the ideal choice. I highly recommend this hotel for an unforgettable experience.

The staff were friendly and the breakfast was amazing. The hotel's style and the view of the wine fields were stunning. Cons: The walls were so thin, I could hear my neighbors' every move.

I always come back for the friendly staff and great service. They even helped me find a local taxi. This place has everything I need: Wi-Fi, free parking, a bar/lounge, restaurant, welcome drink, picnic area. See you for Christmas!
